Love this kid

I was just called over to the bathroom to sit with Patrick while he went #2.  We got to talking about how Gretchen is going to be his sister until he was as old as Nano.  He asked if Nano was his sister.  I said no.  I  asked if he remembered visiting Nano in Tucson and eating fried steak fingers and livers.  He asked where Nano lived.  I said that that was her home.  I explained that she needed more help and so she moved there.  He said that if there's nobody able to take care of Nano, that he would do it.

Love this kid.

We had a great post grad meal at The Original Hamburger Works, some homemade cake with marshmallow frosting and boys night out to see the new Tron in 3D. I would say he had a great day. :)

Yesterday morning she decided to do some actual crawling. Yipee!!

Thanksgiving Weekend by the numbers

4 great Grandparents

3 turkeys, a whole lot of peanut oil

2 sick kids - 1 fevery boogery pinkeye-y and 1 just boogery

1 most delicious Turkey lunch/dinner I've ever had

Several football games on TV

1 movie and popcorn at an actual theater

Lots of lovely leftovers

1 postponed tree cutting trip

Many hugs and kisses

1 long word read aloud by Patrick, all by hisself - "Garfield"

1 wonderful 4 day weekend

G now says mama...

And dada. A lot. So cute!! She knows what she wants and how to get it. ;)
