Cookie Exchange Party

We had a fun day Dec 15th with Cyndy bringing snow from Flagstaff for the our family and the Everett's family to play with and we finished with a cookie exchange party. The kids and dads had fun throwing snowballs and making a snowowl. I'm not sure where the owl idea came from but it was cute. The snow ended up staying on our lawn for the next 2 days until it melted away. :(

Below are some pictures from our Cookie Exchange party that we had at 2pm. This was the first annual, and I'm definitely doing it again. We had Oatmeal lace cookies dipped in chocolate, "adult" chocolate cookies - one recipe with cocoa nibs and salt and the other with cayenne pepper, we also had peanut butter blossoms, sour cream cookies, sugar cookies, monster cookies, blue ribbon winning molasses cookies, thumbprint jam cookies and pretty green marshmallow wreaths. So good...so good...really, everyone did a great job with the flour butter and sugar. I can't wait to do it again next eyar. Along with all the cookies we had some sparkling cranberry juice and snacked on crackers with green chiles and cream cheese with pickapeppa sauce. The winners of the cookie tin awards were:

Best tasting: Three-way tie between the oatmeal lace, peanut butter blossoms and the sour cream cookies.
Best looking: Marshmallow holiday wreaths with red hots
Most unique: The "adult" chocolate duo

Congrats winners!
