Look at what I found...
We spent a good portion of this weekend in our jammies all day cleaning around the house. Our housework was put on pause for a few hours when we went to Peoria to celebrate our friends Jon and Stephanie's engagement. There Jon's mom took the best picture. We're already calling it "the Christmas card photo" - I hope she remembers to email it to us. Don't worry I'll make sure to get it.
While I was doing some of my sorting and cleaning I came across this great picture taken my mom's childhood friend Suki Edwards. My scanner is a little dirty and the scan didn't come out as nice as the picture. So, after some scanning and playing around with Picnic.com I think I have something new and fun to put on my computer's desktop. Or maybe even a frame :)

I can't believe today's weather...
So, for those of you who aren't in Phoenix, earlier this week it was, like, 110 degrees. Today it's overcast and cold and rainy and it's 65 degrees. That just insane and very welcome weather.
We did our Thursday walk today with Beth and Wes in our newest Craigslist find. A Valco stroller that's a few years old but sure doesn't look a few years old. We're very happy with it and have taken walks every day since we got it on Saturday.
Patrick got to go to his first baseball game (also on Saturday). I couldn't tell you who played since we were in line a lot or cruising around the shaded walkway avoiding the sun but we had fun nevertheless. Here's a picture just outside the ballpark.
Patrick has just been talking up a storm and really really likes to practice standing. He was able to pull himself up almost 2 months ago on this wooden crate we have but he's not done that so much since. He likes to do things once and then not do them again for a while, it's so funny :). He does, however, really like getting to hold onto our thumbs as he pulls himself up on the floor. He's practicing moving from thumbs to furniture and back. It's so cute!
We celebrated cousin Emily's birthday a few weeks ago. She was adorable in all her princess dress up clothes.
I'm looking through my pictures this month and I have to post this one. It's a little baby/toddler chair that is in the inside of the bathroom of a Babies R Us. Just as I was walking in with Patrick I was thinking, "shoot, I don't have anywhere to put Patrick." And just like magic, here's this funky weird chair. So, of course I used it and was very thankful to have it there.
That's all I have for now, as usual, my posts come in waves, so look for more soon!

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa
This week Sean was in Ohio for work so Patrick and the dogs and I packed up and headed down to Tucson for a few days. We had a lot of fun watching Patrick guffaw at Patch and Peaches and eat lots of food - I think he's going through a growth spurt. Speaking of growing, I thought I would take a moment to document electronically what I have listed on a scrap piece of paper on our kitchen table. I have a list of what words Patrick has said and approximate dates.
Up, Mom or Mama, Dad or Da Da - 7 or 8 months
Book - April 16
Wawa (I think he said wawa anyway) - April 17th
Dog - April 18th
Elmo - April 25th
All Done -May 3rd (tonight) - he said it a few weeks ago in his crib before falling asleep but he didn't really say it to me and I forgot to write down the date.
These are words he's said unassisted. He decided to say them all on his own and he wasn't repeating what we'd just said or anything. Pretty exciting stuff.
Here are some pictures of our week in Tucson.
He fell asleep by tipping over and onto Grandpa's arm while sitting on his lap. So cute!
Kisses from Patch. Did you notice that Patch's head is twice the size of Patrick's?
The new San Diego vacation home - on wheels. We'll be quasi-camping in it later this month. Can't wait for all the yummy seafood from Point Loma Seafoods.
Lunch at Midway Molina's with Uncle Keenan.
